Dr Andrew Stanton is a consultant respiratory physician at the Freeman Hospital.
Dr Stanton is trust lead for pleural diseases. He runs a specialist pleural clinic with particular emphasis on patients requiring insertion and management of indwelling pleural catheters.
He forms part of the teams delivering specialist clinics in severe asthma and lung cancer. He also runs the respiratory clinic.
He is also one of the Senior Tutors involved in the delivery of the local undergraduate programme for Newcastle University Medical students
