Dr Jane Stewart is a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecology at Newcastle’s Fertility Centre.
Dr Stewart qualified in Edinburgh and moved to the North East to complete her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Subsequently specialising in Reproductive Medicine she joined the Newcastle fertility team in 1994 as a Research Fellow. After completing specialist training, she joined the Royal Victoria Infirmary’s Consultant team as a Gynaecologist specialising in Reproductive Medicine in 2002.
Dr Stewart is the Person Responsible to the Human Fertility and Embryology Authority and leads on a number of services including recurrent miscarriage. Her particular interest is fertility preservation. She is Secretary of the British Fertility Society promoting best practice and training in the specialty.
