Dr Jo Elverson is a consultant in Palliative Medicine and part of the Children’s Holistic Integrated Palliative Care Service (CHIPS) which is based at Great North Children’s Hospital. The service supports paediatric teams across the North East and North Cumbria region.
She trained in Newcastle and completed specialist training in Oxford in 2010. Dr Elverson has been working in hospice and community-based palliative care for children and adults for many years, and was delighted to join the newly formed CHIPS team in 2020.
Her special interests include Transition and Palliative care for adults with learning disability.
