Dr William Sedley is a consultant neurologist in department of Neurology at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary, where he specialises in headache disorders, and related pain conditions of the head, face and neck.
Dr Sedley graduated from The University of Nottingham Medical school in 2007, and was appointed as a consultant in July 2021, after completing his specialist clinical training in the North East of England.
Research
Dr Sedley runs a research group in Newcastle University investigating sensory processing mechanisms in the brain, especially related to the auditory system, and how changes in these processes can cause or contribute to clinical symptoms and conditions such as tinnitus, hyperacusis and migraine.
