Mr Gareth Hosie is a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon specialising in specialist paediatric surgery including oncology and gastroenterological with specific expertise in surgery for ano-rectal anomalies and children’s minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery and neonatal general surgery,

Mr Gareth Hosie is a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at Newcastle’s Great North Children’s Hospital specialising in specialist paediatric surgery for childhood cancers and gastroenterological conditions with specific expertise in surgery for ano-rectal anomalies and children’s minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery. He also specialises in neonatal surgery.

Mr Hosie undertook his general surgical training in Manchester and specialist paediatric surgery training in London.

He is currently Clinical Lead for Paediatric Surgery and Chair of the Northern Children’s Surgical Network, and is a past Programme Director for Training.
