Mr Jacques Kerr is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at the RVI’s Great North Trauma and Emergency Centre.
Mr Kerr has a special interest in patient safety, and specifically patient flows through unscheduled (emergency) care.
Initially training in Newcastle, Mr Kerr moved to Edinburgh to undergo basic surgical training and took up the post of Lecturer in Surgery at Edinburgh University before further surgical training in Glasgow.
He then carried out higher specialist training in Emergency Medicine on the South-East Scotland Rotation (based primarily at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary), and is now working split-site between the Borders General Hospital, where he is the Emergency Medicine Clinical Lead, and the RVI.
