Call for concern (Martha’s Rule)

During your stay in hospital, you may see call for concern posters. This is so you know how to get support if you are becoming more unwell, or you are concerned your relative or friend is becoming more unwell while you are with us.

Call for concern (adult inpatients)

Call for concern means you can get an urgent review in hospital if you are worried that you, your relative or friend is becoming more unwell.
Call for Concern (children’s inpatients)

Call for concern means you can get an urgent review in hospital if you are worried that your child is getting worse or not getting better as expected.
Call for Concern (Maternity)

Call for concern means you can get support if you or your baby is becoming unwell, or you are concerned your relative or friend is becoming unwell.
